Hello lovelies!

I think I might just have gotten some of my mojo back thanks to SKETCH #162 from CREATIVE SCRAPPERS. I guess life is no longer what it used to be and I now have to figure out how to fit in my love for scrapbooking into my new life because I have really missed it. Here is what I did!

I used some old papers that I have been sitting on but truth be told, my girls don't care how old the papers are, all they care about is their pages and the stories behind them.

I was so inspired by this page that I decided to do another page with my left overs using SKETCH 164, whatcha think?

I have never been a sketch kinda girl but this might just be what I need in my life.

Wow it's been a long time since I last blogged or even did a layout!!!!!!!

Let me start off with saying HAPPY NEW YEAR BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

These past few months have been hard on me, a kinda hard that made me stop scrapbooking as of my last post, the kinda hard that made me lose my passion for scrapbooking, that was until I got a call on 12/30/2010 from a dear friend of mine who told me they had just found her father dead : ( only to text me on 01/01/2011 thanking me for making her a wedding album 2 years ago and saying "Happy New year. thank you for the scrapbook you made me. It gives back a piece of time I had with my dad" Right then she reminded me WHY I scrapbook and she gave me the fire I was missing. And from that push, this page was done

This is a page is of my Soli when she had just turned 3, she went through a faze where she had to wear that cat mask all day and all night long. There was no one who could tell her to take it off : ) I do want to say that I am sorry for having been a baaaaad blogging lover, for not stopping by you blogs and leaving you some love BUT life has been tough these past few month BUT in 2011 I REFUSE to let life bring me down : )

Journey kit..a day late or 2 or 3!

Hello ladies, I know I am a few days late on posting the layouts I did with my AUGUST JOURNEY KIT from The Paper Niche but life happened and this past week my dear brother in law lost his father to cancer and that has opened up that little box of sadness in my heart. I lost my dad 3 years ago and though I can say the pain gets better with time...there are days such as this week that are extremely painful!!! Anyhoot...let me not bring you down with my sadness : )
Here are the layouts I did.

Happy Monday ladies!!!! How was your weekend?

Our weekend was the BEST one evah!!!!!!

On Friday I scrapped at The Niche with my Ride or Die girl and we closed the place down... yep! We left at 3:00 am.............. wha wha whaaaaaaat??? That's how we do it in SoFlo ; )

Then on Saturday we got our new furniture delivered and I hung out with an old friend and our kids and then on Sunday we took the kids bowling with family and friends and came back to our house and let the kids go wild in the pool. Life does NOT get any better than this!!!

The other day I was reading THIS DIVA'S blog and she talked about taking her monthly picture with her children and I decided that starting this month we were going to do the same thing and I am going to scrap that picture every month.

Oh my!!!!! I am quite the chatter box today :) :) :) Now on to scrappy stuff.

Today's challenge at THE PAPER NICHE is about using punches and here is what I did.

Hello sweet bloggers!!! How is the summer treating you so far?

Mother nature has been kind to us in SoFlo, beautiful sunny days with the occasional shower and only 1 Tropical storm so far.

Because of the move it is still hard for me to scrap as much as I used to because there is so much to do around here but I am glad to say that our furniture gets delivered on Saturday and we only have the living room and family room to paint and this house is ready for a PaaaaaaaaaRtay!!!!!!

I did manage to do a layout the other day with my favorite papers by AMERICAN CRAFTS

This is a picture I snapped of our girls enjoying the beautiful weather with their favorite guy... Daddy : )

This layout was inspired by a sketch LEAH did for The Paper Niche, my intentions were to do something totally different but when I went in my scrapbook room I found the cloud page had been doodled all over in the bottom portion by a certain little 3 year old and some papers had been cut. BUT I have to say that I loved the end result.

I can not believe that the last time I posted anything was last month : O
Where has the time gone I ask!!! I am kinda hoping that next month things slow down a bit so that I can spend more time in my scrapbook room at night and check out all the blogs that I OH SO love to check out!

This week we have a new challenge at THE PAPER NICHE, you have to use buttons, instead of making a layout I decided to make a headband with buttons I got from the super duper fantabulosa BETH PERRY and some left over T!M Holtz button from our JUNE KIT

BTW, how precious is my Princess, I can NOT believe how fast she is growing!

Being challenged!!!

Well HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ladies!
Hope y'all are doing great because I am beat like a you know what!
I know I am still being a bad bad blogger but this is why.....

I have been packing, trying to clean this so that we can turn our new house into our new home and let me tell you that it has NOT been easy but it will get done in time. The girls are super excited to finally have a house with a pool especially since it is hot as all hell here : )

So on Monday it was my turn to do a layout for our CHALLENGE AT THE PAPER NICHE and it was about glimmermisting.

This is what I was able to pull off in 1 day between all that packing :D :D :D I found some AC left over scraps and I used my T!M Holtz masks, so if you up for a challenge and want a neat prize please do join us : )

I also managed to do a layout which has taken me one whole week because I would touch it for 5 minutes and have to walk away to do something, touch it for 7 minutes and once again have to walk away because THIS GIRL challenged me to do a boy layout. Can we say challenge of the year???????? But I gave it my all and this is what I got.

This is a page of our daughter and her partner in crime (her cousin) they are 4 months apart and boy oh boy are they a hand full. the journaling will be on the blue tag under their picture.

The flowers and button are left overs from my JUNE KIT

I had to paint and ink my ribbons. I also traced this little boy and little girls from an old OA die cut and then embossed them. BTW this page is as busy as these two are ; )

Well...this is where I say ADIOS ladies and I am so sorry I have not been by your blogs to show you some love but I swear that as soon as this place is 1/2 way decent I will be loving on your stuff like it's no body's business!!!! Well hellllllo ladies!
I know I have been a bad blogger as much as I have been bad at blog hopping but this has been a couple of busy/crazy weeks. Hopefully we will be settled in soon so that I can get back to playing with papers and stalking your blogs : )

This month's kit at THE PAPER NICHE was fun to work with but a little challenging because I am all about the colorful, busy papers : ) but a challenge is always good right???!!!! And I was able to do layouts that I would not normally do : )

Here we are celebrating my SIL's birthday and her new home....these 2 bring out the goofy in me no matter what kind of mood I'm in, you know that saying "we don't stop playing because we grow old...we grow old because we stop playing" well in our case we will never grow old!

We can look normal when need be : )

Since I started packing I have come across old pictures and love notes and I found this Polaroid picture of 1998, just 8 moths after we got married. Ahhhhhhh! to be young with no worries, those were the days I had time to get my hair, pedi and mani done every Friday! I traded those days for motherhood and I have no regrets......well 1 regret, I regret the fact the I have crazy looking hair these days but that's what hats are for : )

This is my favorite page, we took my mom to go see the planes land and take off, that is one thing the girls love doing with Daddy!

As you can see there is no journalling on my pages, I need to learn to journal on my layouts, most of it is done on the back of the papers, so if anyone has any good tips please share them with me.

Hello ladies and Happy belated Mother's Day!!!!!!!

What a weekend this has been, my birthday was this Saturday and then we had mother's day yesterday so needless to say I am beat today but in a good way : )

I meant to stop by and wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day but I kept having problems with my phone so I was only able to wish it to some of you so as soon as the girls go to sleep I will be stopping by : )

So this week was my turn to make a layout for the new challenge at THE PAPER NICHE which was to make a layout using masks and here is what I did

Y'all remember the infamous so called "washable markers" incident a few weeks back...note to self, washable markers wash off clothes BUT not completely off your child's body so she went to school the next day looking all bruised up from the marker stains : / and I had to explain it to her teachers who already knew it was from the markers because I guess kids other than my kid do it too : )

I was having so much fun with the darn masks that I did another one except this time around instead if using inks I glimmer misted the entire page and used color pencils.

Helloooooooooo ladies!
How's your week going so far? Mine could not be going any better : )
Slowly but surely my dreams are coming true and I am so excited about the changes that will be happening....WOOHOO!!!!!! Now to scrappy stuff. CREATIVE SCRAPPERS has their 100'th sketch up and I could not help myself but to play along.

I got my hands on the new FANCY PANTS RUSTED SUN papers from the PAPER NICHE and decided I was going to scrap a picture of our daughter on her 1'st birthday.

I still can not believe that our Princess is no longer our tiny little baby, look at her holding her layout

It feels like I blinked and 6 years years passed me by, next thing I know she will be 13 and talking about boys. Oh my!!!! Let me NOT even think that because I am SO not ready to deal with boys ; O

Hello ladies!!! How was your week? Mine has been crazy crazy crazy but it's all good, at least I had a week right? I always say, any day with my feet above ground is a great day : )
On Monday we celebrated my husband's grandfather's 90'th birthday, yes ladies 90 and let it be known that Abuelo (that's granpa in el spanish) is in better health then a lot of younger people I know. He is on no meds, he still drives and he takes out everyone's garbage and gets all our mail daily, what a blessing!!! He celebrated his birthday surrounded by his children, grandchildren & their spouses, his great grandchildren and his wife aka Abuela whom he's been married to for at least 60 years, one more thing about Abuelo, his mom lived to be 106 years old and recently passed away 3 or 4 years ago in Cuba... can we say WOW? Here is a layout I did of him blowing his candles

I used A PROPER GENTLEMEN, FASHIONISTA and ON THE BOARDWALK, papers by G45, remember that they are double sided so on so pieces I used the back part.

For these cute little swirls, I stamped them on the back of a pizza box and stikled them : )

The set is by Inkadinkadoo that I got at THE NICHE a while ago as well as the papers. One thing about me... I buy buy buy some call it hoarding) and even though I may not use it right away I know sooner or later I will use it, my pages are mostly a reflection of my moods : ) and I don't care if the paper is 1 week old or 1 year old. he heeeee!

Here is another layout I did, it's of me and Mr. Hubby hanging at the park with our girls, our 6 year old snapped this picture of us, she captured us cuddling up on the bench while they were playing. I journaled on the back

There are days when a want to choke a brother out but for the 1 day that I feel that way there are 10 days that I love him to death.
The papers are by The Girls Paperie from where else but THE NICHE, I used the MAYA ROAD STAMP for the sewing machine and embossed it with Zing embossing powder.
Well ladies, this is all I have for now, I am still trying to find my groove, I used to be able to make 1 layout a day and somewhere down the line I lost the ability to do so. How do some of you all do it. I see you blog at least 2 to 3 times a week with fabulous layouts. Help a sistah out and share your secret with me : )

Got wood?

Hello ladies!
How is your weekend so far? Mine has been great/horrible but no need to bore you with the horrible details, all I'm gonna say is that I have enjoyed spending time with family and the horrible part was that I had to make a decision that could have affected my family in a negative way but it was the right decision for my family, I know it makes no sense : )
Anythoot, enough with the boring stuff. Here is what I did for the WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE at entrARTistes. You had to use wood and this challenge could not have come at a better time because I just got my hands on that wood paper by Creative Imaginations at THE PAPER NICHE.

And how cuuuuuuuuute is this fairy???? I got her and the new "the girl's paperie" papers at The Niche too. Not for nothing but that store rocks my world!!! We keep getting new goodies in almost every day and that makes me one happy camper, I don't know if Mr. Hubby feels the same way ; )

All about the altering

Hello ladies! Can you believe that it is already April? Well I can't but one thing I know is that this month's kit from THE PAPER NICHE is off the chain! The ladies did one heck of a job putting this one together. At first I struggled with it because I am used to working with bright, busy papers but once I took out my paints and inks there was no stopping me. Here is what I did and please note that there are a whole lotta pictures ; )

"My Besties" this is a page of me and my 2 besties scrapping at The Paper Niche this month, the journaling basically says that prior to scrapping we cried together in the parking lot, lent a shoulder and laughed about the horrible day we had had and then had the greatest night together, they bring out the best in me these two. The musical notes were stamped with my Prima stamp which is not in the kit but you can get it at The Niche, I embossed the bird with my 7 Gipsies stamp and the border edge was also embossed with my American Crafts stamps that I bought at The Niche.

Me and Jiggy Jen celebrating her 30'th Bday this past November and cancer free, journalling is in the back but I thought the "Encourage your hopes not your fears" stamp by TIME HOLTZ was perfect for this layout of her.

This is a layout of Ash Wednesday, I had to take the girls to church by myself since Mr. Hubby was working and Soli's asthma was at it's worst, 1/2 was through the mass she started wheezing harder and I saw that she was about to have a melt down so I steeped outside with them and finished the mass from behind the glass and I took a picture, if you look close enough you can see my girls reflection off the glass. I placed the journalling right under the paper with the flowers and it basically says that on a day like today the only thing that kept me from braking down was my faith in The Lord.

Hey ladies! How's your weekend so far?
My weekend as of right now has been great and emotional. Today our niece did her first communion and I can not believe how fast the time is flying. I still remember taking that first picture of her when she was born 7 years ago, she was as beautiful then as she is today and what a phenomenal little girl she is growing up to be. Another thing that has me all sad/happy is that my bestie sister in law aka my neighbor is moving tomorrow snif snif!!! Don't get me wrong, I am so happy for them but I am going to miss the shiznitz out of her.

Ok!!!! Now that I got all the mooshy stuff off my chest here is a layout I did of our kids resting after a long nature walk, and yes...this is my favorite picture evah! I love how their little feet just hang off the bench and mark my words that I will take the same picture 10 years from today when the are teens ; )

1 dozen wedding anniversary!

Hello blogland! How was your weekend?
My weekend was awesome!!! Yesterday Mr. Hubby and I celebrated our 12'th wedding anniversary, I still can not believe that 12 years have gone by so fast. On Friday I cropped at THE PAPER NICHE with my 2 scrapbooking besties and GINE who suggested that I buy the 7 GYPSIES 4X6 TRAY that The Niche just got in and I have to say it is the best purchase ever!!! This is what I am giving Mr. Hubby for our anniversary tonight when he gets home from work.

I figured I would give him something that he could never ever buy anywhere and I hope he loves it as much as I love it. All the papers, stamps, ribbon etc are from THE PAPER NICHE
so all you local ladies stop by there to get one because that tray RAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

I am off to bed since I have to get the girls ready bright and early for school tomorrow so I will leave you with some pictures of our anniversary.

We had lunch as a family at our girls favorite restaurant...TGI Friday and we brought my mom to share this special day with us, I just wish my dad was still around to see what a beautiful family we created : (

After lunch the girls decided they wanted to go to the park, note to self "never ever go to the park wearing high as all hell wedges" my feet were killing me but our girls laughter and smiles made the pain worth it.

Hello ladies : )
How has your week been so far? Mine has been great ever since I was told on Monday that I have nothing to worry about since the cyst they found has no potential of becoming malignant YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I have to go back to the hospital in 6 months but for now I am living a happy life with no worries.

Here is a layout that I did of Mr Hubby and myself on an old tree at Greynolds Park which happens to be a park I used to go to when I was a teenager and I am pretty sure Mr Hubby did too.

I used JILLIBEAN PAPERS that I got at THE PAPER NICHE, I had contemplated trying out for their DT but as always I chickened out and decided not too :D :D :D I really like this simple page because it's all about the papers, y'all know I am not much of an embellishment kinda gal ; ) BTW my Angejolie took this picture of us , she is working that Canon like a pro lately and sorry for the crappy layout picture but the lighting sucks in my house at night.

How yummy are these clouds? I used my WILLOW BEE clear stamps by NIKKI SIVILS and covered them with Crackle Paint after I embossed them with ZING embossing powder. I heart those clouds like it's nobody's business and now I no longer have to draw clouds, all I have to do is stamp away!

Will He B The One???

Hello ladies!
This is a quick post to share with you a page I did for THE PAPER NICHE with the new NIKKI SIVILS papers. I decided to scrap a picture of my Hubby's younger brother and his wife AKA my favorite neighbor/scrapbooking buddy and sister in law since their story is perfect for the name of the paper line. You see, they met in elementary, started dating in junior high later on got married and are now parents of a 7 year old and 3 year old, at the age of 31 the have been together for 1/2 their lives and that is something you rarely hear now a days.

How cute are they??? I also want to say that they are one of the 2 greatest people in the word, they are kind, loving, patient, incredible parents, wonderful aunt/uncle, the greatest friends and anyone who know these 2 are truly blessed to have them in their lives. You see that little paper above their heads with a little heart? Well it's holds the most beautiful little note written by him to her.

I used the WILL HE B THE ONE clear stamps to for the "True Love" and embossed it. Turns out my brother in law was "THE ONE"

I stitched over the hearts and for my letter I decided to Glossy Accent them so give them a shine and with my scraps I also did a page of Mr. Hubby and I, it so happens that the 4 of us went out for dinner with old friends 2 Saturdays ago and it turns out that Mr. Hubby was also "THE ONE" : )

Well ladies I am off to watch the Olympics since both my countries are playing against each other, that's right Canada and the U.S.A. I am a Canadian citizen and as proud to say that I am an American resident : ) Have a wonderful week!
One more thing, tomorrow I finally have my appointment to have a new mammogram and ultrasound for that cyst the had found on my right breast so please say a prayer for positive news...I believe in the power of prayer. Thanks a million : )

Is it spring yet?

Hello ladies! Hope you all had a beautiful weekend, kinda wish I could say the same BUT we were home with a feverish/asthmatic 3 year all weekend, it's a miracle I was able to work on the killer FEBRUARY KIT from THE PAPER NICHE. As always LEAH has done a fabulous job putting this bad boy together and though I was only able to do 5 pages and 1 little message holder because of poor sick Soli I still have enough to make a few more pages this week : )

This is a picture of our Angejolie when she was 3, like most moms do, I bought more pictures than I needed and figured I might as well scrap them right?

Us at Smokey Mountain, I wanted a picture of the mountains but there was no one to take one so I put my camera on the top of the car and ran my @$$ off to join my family, you gotta do what you gotta do to capture the moment.

My soulmate and I, next month we will be celebrating our 12'th wedding anniversary and I will be putting a note in the envelope for our daughters to read one day, the secret to our marriage is basically keeping in mind that it's like a job, you need to work on you marriage daily, never hit bellow the belt, no name calling because once you spit out that insult you can't take it back and honor and trust your partner. I pray that one day they will find a love like we have.

Here we are at his pinning ceremony, I sort of made this one very simple because I will be framing it. How handsome is he in his white and greens ; )

Angejolie and I were talking a walk while Soli was napping in the car with daddy and we placed the camera on a rock and snapped away, out of nowhere she asked me if Little Red Riding Hood lived in these woods, you gotta love a child's imagination : )

All about the embellies

Hello there! Before you go any further let me warn you that this will be a PICTURE HEAVY POST ! : ) SO if you decide to keep going you have been warned ; ) Here is a layout that I did based on THIS POST these ladies always have something great going on at all times, you see I went to French school from Kindergarten until 6'th grade so I can still read and speak french but my writing is not all that good anymore : (

It was all about putting your embellishments on your pictures, now for those of you who know me, you know I am not all that good with them so this was quite the challenge BUT I love the way it turned out. This picture is of my Angejolie being so over it because I kept snapping pictures of her in her Filipino shirt my mom in law gave her when she went to the motherland and those Elvis glasses : )

I used my American Crafts stamps to make this cute little cloud and rain drops.

Here's a heart I cut out and covered with Crackle Accents and these cute little beads were sent to me in the most delish happy mail package by the FANTABULOSA B.P. You see, she always finds these beautiful vintage buttons and ribbons etc. and for some reason I can never ever find anything like that down here in South Florida so she sent me a bunch of yummy findings :) THANKS B.P.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now yesterday my Angejolie had a birthday party to go to, H. turned 6 this year and she is my inspiration because this year she turned 6 cancer free. This beautiful little girl kicked cancer's @$$ before she was 6, years old, she lost her hair before she was 6 years old, she had to endure chemo before she was 6 years old and yet through it all she has always kept her smile and she is the sweetest little girl!!! Here are some pictures of the party which she had at the movies, they got a special behind the scenes tour and H. even got to start the movie.

You know I used the "I need to take pictures of this special moment" excuse because I have never seen how they run things at the movies ; )

I almost forgot to show you her girft wraping....

We stamped two little girls and then placed them on chipboard, then we cut them out and put Angejolie's and H's initial, we also stmaped the flowers and the "for you" which we also placed on chipboard to give it a pop. Angejolie loves to make "pretty wrappings" as she calls it.

Later on we took the girls to eat ice cream at Dairy Queens because it was a beautiful night and I got these pictures

Angejolie's new thing is to do bunny ears when taking a picture as for Solimar, please excuse the messy hair but this kid will NOT let me do her hair....EVER!!!!!! and instead of fighting that battle I just let her go out looking all sorts of crazy ; ) don't judge me :D :D :D

And this is a picture Angejolie took of the moon, she said "look mama! I got a picture of the moon for you" because she kept seeing me try to get a decent picture of it. Gosh! I love those girls.

Hello ladies! As you all have heard our neighbour island of Haiti was hit with a major earthquake last week and thousands of people have died, thousands of people are still missing and many are homeless and injured. Yesterday my Angejolie told me that she wanted to take what ever she had in her piggy bank and donate it to help help our Haitian community. This is how much she and Soli had

My husband and I did not talk to the girls about what was going on because we did not want to scare them but their school has been talking to them about it and showing them ways to help out, their school always promotes helping out different charities, our troops, children in the foster system as well as ill children so this was not surprise to me. They have set up boxes for clothes and money through out the school, here they are bringing in their money to school this morning.

And talking about Haiti, LEAH did a layout about the tragedy and it made the catwalk at SisTV, I have to say that it is such a touching page.

On a lighter note, here are 2 pages I did for THE PAPER NICHE with the new VINTAGE VALENTINE PAPERS FROM FANCY PANTS. Oh how I loved playing with those papers, I am so going to be getting more of those papers to do other layouts of me and my handsome husband since we are about to celebrate our 12'th wedding anniversary this coming March, WOOT!!!!!WOOT!!!!!

Long time no post!

Happy New Year ladies!I t seems like for ever since I last posted but the last week of December we went on a little road trip to Georgia and Tennessee with my husbands parents, all his siblings and spouses and alllllll our kids. When we came back Solimar got sick, she had a fever of 102 for 6 days and her asthma was in full force so needles to say I was held captive at home by my poor sick little girl and her accomplice Dora the Explorer ; ) I am happy to say that Soli has gotten better and she finally went back to school on Monday which finally gave me time to play with the awesome January kit as well as the add on from THE PAPER NICHE

Shhhhhhhhhhh but I got this picture from LEAH'S BLOG ; ) who as always did an incredible job putting this yumny kit together.

This layout is about my word for the year 2010 "BETTER" I want to be a BETTER mother, a BETTER wife, a BETTER friend, a BETTER me.

Here we are at the top of Smokey Mountain on our way to where we were staying and we had to stop for the girls to touch snow for the first time and the cool thing was that seconds into taking the picture it started to snow. Did i mention that my in laws rode with us and believe it or not they are the greatest in laws in the world, they kept our daughters entertained throughout the 12 hours drive to Georgia and then the 6 hour drive to Tennessee.

Last but not least our beautiful girls. Their relationship is a puzzle to me, it's complicated, they fight, they love, they fight, they play, but in the end they work it out together and I end up with a beautiful picture like this one.

"No help needed" this was the girls first day of school and they felt they were too grown to get help tying their shoes...gosh how they melt my heart! Thanks BP for getting me hooked on Picnik.com.

I finally used one of my STUDIO CALICO kits, the DECEMBER kit to be exact : )
I have not touched my kits for the past 7 months so it looks like I'm about to pull them all out and get to work.

On the 15'th our beautiful Solimar turned 3 and all I can say is "where has the time gone?"
I should have know by the way she was born that she was going to be a hand full, she brings us such joy but at time she makes me want to pull my hair out ; )
Coincidentally today I found a copy of her birth announcement and decided to do a layout with my left overs from the DECEMBER KIT at THE PAPER NICHE, and let it be know I still have enough to do at least 2 more layouts : )

This layout was inspired by challenge 14 @ SCRAP IN JAPAN, the ladies there have crazy mojo and truth be told this layout only took 20 something minutes and it was put together on the couch 'cause I wanted to spend time next to Mr. Hubby ; )
OK, I wanted to share some Bday pictures with you but since I have just spent over 30 minutes trying to edit my pictures with NO success I will have to skip that :)

I thought the colors were perfect for this picture of Angejolie meditating, I love the idea that they have taught her how to meditate at school, and the fact that she is proudly wearing her Filipino shirt that my mom in law brought back for her when she went back to the mother land brings me such joy.

Bad blogger!!!!!

Wowza!!! I have been a bad blogger : (
It seems like for ever since my last post and I am going to blame this on the holidays ; )
I have had zero time to scrap, I have not been able to touch my December kit for the PAPER NICHE which by the way is due in 2 days but I have this to share

This is my take on challenge #4 at POINT BLANK PERIOD (a little late but once again Imma blame it on the holidays) and they also have an article on this challenge HERE, so make sure you stop by and come play because the prize is yummmmmy and the challenge is fun.

The journaling is on the back and it reads: I love this time of the year for all the joy and excitement it brings you. I love it because you still believe in Santa and you say he has a key to our house and that is how he is able to get in to bring you your gifts. I love it because our streets and malls are decorated which makes them beautiful. I love it because they play Christmas songs on the radio, especially "All I want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey. I love it because Disney has the "Very Merry Christmas" parade and Santa and Mrs. Claus are there and I love Christmas morning because not only is it the day Baby Jesus was born but also the day your cousin Devin was born.

OK, so I need to apologize for the short and boring post but it's super late and I am beat from this crazy week. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and as always THANK you for your sweet comments because they make my day : )

A good cause & a layout

Last night SASHA posted THIS LINK and I could not help myself this morning to get this pile ready to go out in the mail Friday, someone had a great point on the forum, kids don't care that the papers are from 6 months ago or 1 year ago all the want to do is arts and crafts so this is why I am sharing this with you guys, if you have any papers that you have not used, pack them up and send them to this address Chloe Quinn Scrapbook Drivec/o A Million Memories2378 CharlemagneLong Beach, CA 90815 because I know it will make a child very happy.

So yesterday I went to THE PAPER NICHE and got my hands on the yummy Bo Bunny Delilah papers and did this

I have to say that I don't think I have ever worked with their papers and I have to thank GINE'S 2 friends for coercing me to buy the papers as well as the stickers ; ) and if you 2 read this blog I just want to say how sorry I am for not remembering names but anyone who knows me will tell you that it takes me ages to remember names but I am good with faces : (

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I want to share with you what I am thankful for

I am thankful for special moments like this one between a daughter and a father, Angejolie and her daddy reading her progress report from school, Montessori does not do report cards. When she sits with him to read she always puts her arm around him like that and let it be know she had an EXCELLENT report, I am such a proud mama : )

I am thankful for playful moments like this one between 2 sisters who sometimes fight hard but always love harder : )

I am thankful for a quite moment between a granpa and his granddaughter, moments like this one are few and far between since she is always on the move and I am thankful that she still has 1 grandpa since my dad passed of cancer when she was 16 days old.

I am thankful that my dear friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer 1 year ago celebrated Thanksgiving once again with us this past Sunday cancer free after having a double mastectomy this past January and who will be celebrating her 30'th birthday this Friday cancer free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for this man, my soul mate who after almost 12 years of marriage still loves me with all my craziness.

But most of all I am thankful for for the gift of motherhood.

I am thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful, strong, loving mother, my in laws which are the greatest family a girl could ask for, my friends, my bloggy friends, our health, the roof over our heads and our health.
Thank you for always leaving such beautiful message and I wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Told ya it was going to be long :D :D :D

I have the Pencil Lines bug!!!

Happy Monday ladies : ) PENCIL LINES put up a new sketch yesterday and can I tell you that I did this layout in a matter of what seems to be minutes.

The only thing that took long was the cutting out of the animals, actually that was not that long but the drying part was, I decided to put Crackle Accents on them and the orange background is masking tape covered with modeling paste which was then sprayed with Color Wash once it dried, that one took a while to dry, but all in all it was so easy to create. I think I have the PL bug : ) 2 challenges in 2 weeks??? That's a record for me : )

The words on my page are from the song "Love is where you are" from the movie At First Sight and that is the song that I will dance with my husband if we ever renew our wows. It's the perfect song! And the yummy Prima papers are from THE PAPER NICHE and can I just tell you that this is now my favorite layout and I just noticed that after almost 12 years of being married I still lift my foot when I kiss my husband : )

Now on to other things, I thought I would share some pictures of what I am thankful for this month

I am thankful for the men and women who are out there risking their lives for our country, whether I agree or disagree on this whole war thing, I am thankful for their courage and for the daily sacrifices they make, this past week our daughters school asked the parents to make care packages for out troops and I jumped on it like a fire fighter to a fire ; ) and our Princess made them this beautiful card and she wanted to send them a picture so who ever got the packages would know who it came from so I put to pictures of our girls and wrote a little thank you on the pictures as well as on the back of her card. Sorry for the crappy pictures but it was late when I finished packing : ) and here she is at school with a box

It's great to know that our troops will be getting all these boxes filled with goodies, body wash, Tylenol, Visine and so much more for the holidays and it also teaches our daughters that sometimes it's better to give than to receive.

Blissful Autumn

Happy Friday ladies!!!!! Thank God for that because I am beat, this has been one hell of a week for me and I am glad it's over with : )

Here are some layouts that I did with The Blissful Autumn kit from THE PAPER NICHE

I did this tree by tracing it from one of my Hambley stickers on to some foam, I then transfered it to card stock and covered it with brown Zing embossing powder, then I painted it with some Distree Crackle paint that came with the kit and voila!!!!!!!!!!! an adorable tree : )

I used crackle paint around the edges.

I had so much fun working with this kit that I did it all in under 2 day, this month, this time around I was all about embossing or painting or using crackle accents on my letter.
Sorry for the short and crazy looking post but the girls want to go play so I gotta go : )

Sketch 161 of my little monster

A few weeks ago while I was cooking dinner I noticed that the house was awfully quite so I decided to sneak up on the girls and THIS is what I found

Soli had gotten her heands on some markers and decided she was going to paint her entire body. It was all fun and games for her until I started taking pictures and then she got serious. I know the picture are blurry but it was all about getting her in the act.

And the more I laughed the more she got upset.

Ever since that day I have been dying to scrap about that moment but have not been able to come up with anything until I saw the new skecth at PENCIL LINES and this is what I came up with. (THANKS for the inspiration PL)

I've had a couple of rough days filled with bad vibes and bad energy so doing this layout while I cleaned my house kinda cleaned my soul and I have to say that I am feeling much better now.

Gotta love this hobby, I get to put our lives on paper for our girls to look back on one day and it gives me the therapy I need : )

BASB challenge and a page

Happy Monday!
Boy am I glad today is over, my morning started great, the girls did NOT give me a hard time this morning, the weather was cloudy and a little chilly, I had my favorite brown dress and heels, The Black Eyed Peas "I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night" (my favorite song) was on the radio and then.....................I was surrounded by negative energy, crabby @$$ people and it was about to suck me in but guess what I did to prevent that from happening,
I went to THE PAPER NICHE and got my hands on the new 7 Gypsies papers and some Prima goodies: )
And this is what I did with it

That's our beautiful Princess with her 2 BFF on her 6'th birthday.
It's amazing how papers, stamps or paints will make me happy, some people drink, some dance, I scrap to get me out of my funk!

Now, my girl LAVERNE is hosting a challenge at BASB and it is super easy and super fun here is my take.

I am thankful for my family, our health, our home and our daily bread, notice that I used a picture of us, a heart for our health, 2 little houses for our home and I gave my little girl fruit stockings for our daily bread : )
The family is also doing one but it is taking them a little longer but here is a picture of the girls doing their project

Are they cute or what?
OK so on the back you have to write about an act of kindness you are going to do for someone, so my act of kindness is.... I am going to help to help out someone who is up to their neck with work.
Now mind you the challenge was until yesterday and since I was super busy this week I can not enter to win that yummy ATC carousel but it was fun making this little girl and when everyone is done with their little girls I am going to hang them on our wall.

A Halloween mini with American Crafts

All right! So you all know how much this girl hearts American Crafts and that is why I could NOT resist using their pretty spooky papers from The Paper Niche for my Halloween mini album. I hardly ever do albums because the ADD in me kicks in full gear but this little sucker was so easy to make that I finished it in a few hours : ) I might just do a few more.

I decided to emboss the edges with their Zing! powder which totally rocks my world, so far I only have ten of them but little by little I will have the ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL muahhahhaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!! and while I'm yapping away I wan to so that I am SO sorry for the ghetto shoot but I took those pictures right before I left to take the girls to school and since I left the album at The Niche I did not get to take new picture of it : )

Prompt #3 at PBP

Hello ladies, hope your weekend was great and that your Trick or Treat night was even better.
Our third challenge is up at POINT BLANK PERIOD I have to say that this challenge was a very emotional one for me. Here is my take on it.

The journalling reads: October is breast Cancer Awareness month so I had my first mammogram done, a week later I was told I had to get an ultrasound done, a week later I was told "it seems to be a complicated cyst" Today I am scared, scared of the unknown, scared that that our daughters are still too young but I know that with you by my side there is NOTHING we can not overcome.

I kinda sorta broke the rules, we were supposed to use 3 pictures but I needed these 4, on the bottom right I went by myself for my mammogram and the bottom left is the mammogram machine which by the way when I asked the lady if I could take a picture she thought I was crazy but she humoured me and said "OK" the top left is a picture of me and my husband, he felt it was important to be there with me for the ultrasound and I have to admit that I am glad he came and of course on the top right side is the results.
I know some people might think it's kinda weird that I chose to post this but this is good therapy for me, I have yet to share this with my family because there is no need to worry them but this is why I have a blog, it's to share my creative side and to sometimes vent : )

A Birthday and a layout

This month our baby girl turned six and she had her party at Color Me Mine where she and her dearest little friends had a blast. I still can NOT get over the fact that she is now 6...where did the time go? Next thing I know she will be 16 asking for a license : (

OK! OK! Enough with the sappy stuff : ) Look at this!

After they painted their little hearts out we took them to Jackson's where they have the yummiest ice cream ever (it was not cheap) but boy oh boy did they enjoy their ice cream + that is where she wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to her.

All in all it was a great day, the girls had a blast and we were happy parents!And here is a layout I did with the new BASIC GREY NOOK AND PANTRY papers we have at THE PAPER NICHE and the yummiest ribbons ever!!!

I got the idea for the layout HERE and you see those yummy cup cakes? I cut them out from the paper, used some Tim Holz Crakle Accents. I think my mojo is slowly coming back to me : )

Ladies night out at The Paper Niche

Last night my favorite neighbor aka my sister in law Amanda and our girlfriend Tamrod went to THE PAPER NICHE and hung out with some of my favorite scrapping ladies, LEAH who did an awesome make and take, LAVERNE who had me doing more chit chatting that scrapping and GINE who teases me about giving me Shamu papers, I also got to meet some hilarious ladies and one of them is now going to go by the name of "Ghetto Fabulous" she had us laughing so hard the entire night, needless to say I only got 1 layout done because we were too busy laughing, eating, shopping and laughing some more. Hanging at The Niche is like hanging with family, you are not just a customer there and they go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Being with these ladies last night was so needed for me since I have been down these past few weeks and have not scrapped at all other than my DT layouts. Check out what I did.

Yall know how how much I love me some American Crafts and The Niche is loaded with all their goodies, from papers, to stamps, to Zings and their killer pens.

Long time no post

It seems like it's been for ever and a day since I last posted something or even created something. Here are the layouts that I did with the OCTOBER KIT at The Paper Niche

See that butterfly? I made it with modeling past and then painted it with water colors.

Here we are celebrating my father in law's Bday with his parents in the center, my husband his brother and sisters with their spouses, my mom in law and our kids, none of us have make up on since we had been by the pool and just chilling, the kids were a hot mess but what matters most is that we got our family picture : )

I got the little tile idea from MY GURU

This picture is of my husband and I right before I had to get my ultrasound done, he is my rock, the one that always says "stay positive" "we will cross that bridge together if need be" he is my world and I am so blessed to have been his wife for the past 12 years : )

I only had 1 day to do these pages and I know I could have done more pages and better looking pages but you see on Tuesday September 29'th (I think) I had a mammogram done and I got a call on Friday October 2'nd by my doctor that she wanted me to have an ultrasound done. So on Wednesday October 7'th I had my ultrasound done and there was clearly something there but the girl who did the ultrasound could not tell me anything so I spent the next 6 days, praying that it would be nothing... still having to keep a smile on my face for our girls sake all the while being scared to death. Finally on Monday October 12 I got a call from my doctor saying "it seems to be a cyst, a 2 cm cyst, I will schedule an appointment to get it drained and we will do another ultrasound in 6 months"
Guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am NOT going to settle for that answer, I have scheduled an appointment where I will request to have it removed...bump getting a biopsy done, just take it out and if it's a cyst...so be it but if it aint, I will then cross that bridge when the time comes. I am sharing this NOT because I want a pity party but because I feel the need to get it out of me, because I believe in the power of prayer and because I want you all to get your mammogram done if you have not done so yet. My dear friend Jen was told for the longest time that what she had was a cyst and she was too young for it to be cancer since she was only 27, last year she had a double mastectomy done and this year she will celebrate her 30'th birthday CANCER FREE.

Hey ladies, challenge 2 is up at POINT BLANK PERIOD and her is my take, I decided to make it more about the journalling this time around.

RULES:Use something in your layout, photo or journal that is RED, add your take of felt or string and wrap it around your way3 photos or a representation of the number 3
TWISTS:Make something large and make something small .. add ORANGE and a bonus color of your choice. It is what you make it out to be .. point blank .. just keep it real .. PERIOD.

I used my American Craft stamps and Zing on the words I wanted to emphasize.

Here is what I wrote on the back: This office drives me crazy but is also brings me joy.I work from 9 to 2:30 pm so I can go home with our girls as soon as they get out of school.I am off when there is no school or when our girls are sick. On another note, the talented IRIS BABAO UY will be teaching an online class where all the monies will be donated to the victims of TYPHOON ONDOY, the class is only $5 and it is for such a great cause, I just signed up for it because that $5 is a Mc Donald's meal for me but so much more for those poor people. I really hope some of y'all can sign up for it : )

Today I stopped by THE PAPER NICHE to pick up my October kit and THIS is what greeted me at the door, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! ladies my ugly little monsters from Sassafras Las. My love affair with their papers started a year ago thanks to THIS DIVA.
I did this layout while the kids (all 4 of them) played...or should I say, while they were tearing up my living room and while I was cooking "arroz con pollo"

Check out that beautiful textured paper, the moment I saw it I knew I wanted it for this layout.
This layout was inspired by THE SASSY ONE herself. I have to admit that I heart her work and by the way, she has a new challenge coming up tomorrow on POINT BLANK PERIOD so make sure you stop by and check us out because it is going to be good : )

Good GAWD do I heart them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got some more of their papers from THE PAPER NICHE. as well as those Zings and I have been having a blast with them, here are 2 more layouts I did for The Niche.

OK...how cute are those little felt clouds by American Crafts as well as those little trees?

Here I used the American Craft letter stamps for the "I LOVE YOU" and their Zing powder, pretty cool huh? And word is The Niche just got more boxes in and one of those boxes has a few of the new Sassafras papers as well as those little monsters and we all know how my heart melts for Sassafras :D :D :D I know, I'm a BIG dork!

So this weekend The Niche had their Scrap Pink crop and though I was not able to attend I did stop by to buy some goodies with my sister in law and our girls, we spent the day together while our husbands watched the younger ones, we shopped, had lunch and shopped some more : )

So ladies y'all know I am not one to preach or anything like that but if you have not gotten one done please get it done.

So American Crafts has a challenge going on HERE.
And as y'all know I have a crush on all their goodies especially since THE PAPER NICHE got boxes and boxes this past week filled with their new papers, stamps, Zing, flairs...you name it and I have LEAH to thank for losing her mind at CHA and ordering everything she saw at their booth :D :D :D

So here is what I did

I used their new stamp for the "you make me happy"

Ya ll know how I love my clouds so I used the flair package to make a cloud, you know the saying "want not...waste not" recycle baby!

And with my left overs I made this cute little card.

Happy Saturday y'all!!!!!!!
Just wanted to share the layouts I did with the SEPTEMBER KIT and add on at the Paper Niche.
As always LEAH did a fabulous job putting the kit together as well as adding special one of a kind handmade yummyness!

So inspired by the wonderful CELINE NAVARRO the journalling is on the back of the layout : )

The journalling is under tha space ship flair, see where it says pull?

My first card "WOOHOO!!!" I know cheesy BUT I am not a card person so I'm a little excited.

Now this last one I did after I turned my layouts in to The Paper Niche, it's a page of Angejolie's first field trip which she had this week and I chaperoned, I am so glad that I went because I was able to take awesome pictures including this one of her on the school bus for the 1'st time, she was so excited because she has been asking to take the bus for the past year, look at that face.

What a weekend!!!

This weekend DAMARIS hosted the baddest retreat ever, we stayed in beautiful Sanibel, Florida and check out what our hotel looked like (BTW, I snatched this picture from her blog)

and our scrap room was on that second floor with the most beautiful view. She had these goodies waiting or us on our tables, though you can not see it, that bag was full full full of yumyness!!!

I got to room with MY SCRAPBOOKING GURU who by the way made this the greatest mini trip ever, she made sure I did not do the ugly cry too many times by making me laugh every chance she got since this was my first time ever away from my family. I also got to hang with the lovely Sharon and met some wonderful ladies which I know I will scrapping with at Damaris' next crop.

Alma has got to be one of the funniest ladies ever, she had us laughing so hard, me, LaVerne and the lovely Sharon which by the way will be having her first little girl in January, I also met Ana which cracked me the hell up, we took a picture together but her eyes were shut and I will NOT post a rough looking picture because I would not like it if someone did that to me.
Here are 5 out of the 10 layouts I did, some might say "only 10? Remember that I was hanging out with fabulous ladies and there was lots of chit chatting and laughing and eating but not much sleeping.

I made the layout look all sorts of crazy because that's how my life is but I would not have it any other way.

This was us yesterday, see that cute apron I am wearing, Damaris' mom made one for all of us with our initials on the pocket...how sweet is she????

Oh man! "You own a record?" Were the exact words out of our Princess' mouth when he showed her his Herman Kelly & Life record. She held that record and stared at it as if it were gold, priceless moment and I am glad we got a picture of it.

I got this YUMMY Hambly paper at THE PAPER NICHE the brick paper and the checkered hearts were made with my new Tim Holtz stamps from there too and that splattered ink on the paper was made with my Color Wash spray from Tim Holtz as well as Glimmer Mist which they also carry at The Niche. It's a plain and simple layout and yet I HEART IT so so much : )
Oh yeah! The picture.....good gawd!!!! I tried playing around with it HERE and I have yet to master that thing but it was lots of fun but when it came time to print it the printer started running out of some ink and then tried swallowing my picture so that is all that printed and instead of throwing it away I cut out all the white and kept it. Here are 2 close ups.

At 7:30 am as I was getting ready to take these Angels to school

but when I turned the key I heard the noise no woman wants to ever ever hear...

My flipping battery was dead, you see, the old me would have had a nervous break down at that point but the new me did this

Yep! I took a picture so that I can scrapbook about this day and then

I took a picture of the beautiful sun just because it was beautiful. So I took the kids out the car and went inside to wait for my Prince Charming to come change the battery and ask me what I did........................

I did this with my AUGUST ADD ON LEFT OVERS from The Paper Niche while the kids played in the living room and made the biggest mess : )

Where did my weekend go??? How can it be Sunday already?
Anyhoot, enough with the crying because I did have a great weekend.
Yesterday I croped at THE PAPER NICHE with THIS TALENTED CHICK and man did I have a great time and out of that good time and great company came this.....

This was from the left overs from THE AUGUST KIT.

The Niche has all these yummy Nikki Sivils papers and they have become one of my FAVE to play with but don't tell my Hambly, OA or Sassafra papers 'cause they will be sad : D :D :D

I also did this page with my left overs from the CRATE PAPER I got from where??? Of course The Niche : )

Last but not least I did this page

I think I channelled the inner SASHA in me because I was inspired to do circles and slap on some stars which we all know she can work like it's no ones business : )

1'st day of school and an album

Happy Monday ladies!
Today my baby started kindergarten and my other baby pre k.
Seriously, where has the time gone? Here are some pictures of our morning.

AJ and Soli are in the same class as well as with my Nephew, for those of you asking WHY the girls are in the same class it's because in the Montessori school they keep the kids in the same class for 3 years, you see...the little ones learn from the older kids and the older kids learn to be leaders.

And my beautiful niece is no longer in their class because she is now with 1'st, 2'nd and 3'rd graders, do you know that when I walked in her class to take a picture of her, she was doing a report on birds with a 3'rd grader and I got all sentimental, I know...silly me.

After that I went to the Paper Niche with my girl Tammie (she is the scissors to my scrapbooking) and we scrapped until it was time to get the kids from school and here is what I did, I made my Princess a journal for her Kindergarten year.

I journalled on the back of the pciture.

I kept this journal as simple as possible because I want Angejolie to do what ever she wants with it and the great thing is that we can keep adding more and more papers throughout the school years. The papers are by Nikki Sivils that I got at THE PAPER NICHE

So yesterday our Princess lost her second front tooth

and when she woke up this morning the tooth fairy left her this (BTW...the tooth fairy is a sucker for his little girl)

so when Soli saw what she got once again she said "Mama look...I lose toof"

She might be little but she is NO fool :D :D :D

Later on today I hung out with LEAH. and her 2 boys, our kids had such a good time together but the hurricane that is my Soli might have scared her off ; )
She taught me a few things about this blog thing and showed me how to work the glimmer mist. We did not get to scrap but we talk scrapping the entire time.

Now for a Crate Paper layout,

I have not done many challenges lately and I have to admit that I have missed them.
Challenges always push me to create layouts that I would normally not do and this is why I chose to do THIS CHALLENGE. You could ONLY use the following

.1 sheet of patterned paper (Studio Calico would be wonderful!)
.letter stickers
.metal
.paint
.embroidery floss or baker's twine

and this is what I did

I used my MY AUGUST SC KIT and I love the results, my pages are usually distressed, inked and with lots of layering so this was out of my comfort zone and again...this is why I love challenges. I used paint on the metal because you could hardly read what it said. Sorry for the blurry picture but I took it this morning at 6 am and wanted to post it before the girls woke up : ) as for the journaling I did it on the back. This layout is of our Sunday trip to the library, I forgot how much fun the library was,

The August kit is up for sale at THE PAPER NICHE and once again Leah has done a fabulous job at putting together a 1 of a kind kit, you can see some of Leah and Melisa's layouts RIGHT HERE and here is what I did

I chose to keep this page as simple as I could because I made this for my mom and I have to admit that I got really emotional while doing it because all I could think about was how my Solimar was cheated from knowing my wonderful Dad, he passed away 16 days after she was born so all she will ever know will be my stories and the ones that Angeolie shares with her. See that frame??? I made it with masking tape, modeling paste, glimmer mist and water paint, I have to say that it really looks nice in person.

This one was all about the gesso, glimmer mist, water paints and oil pastels, I also used the add on kit on it.

As you can see this kit really inspired me to play with paints and gesso as well as glimmer mist.

Can I just say that this week I am off because school is out until next week and do you know what is out there trying to make it's way to us?????????????? A flipping tropical storm named named Ana (I think that's her name) so needless to say it has been pouring cats and dogs today but what the hell evah because we will still have a good time : ) One more thing POINT BLANK PERIOD'S ning site is up (I think it's called a ning) come check THE BLOG RIGHT HERE or THE NING RIGHT HERE. Blogger gave me back my list of blogs that I follow, who would have thought that I would bug out the way that I did? NOT me....but I have to admit that I enjoy drinking my cup of coffee every morning while the girls sleep and reading your blogs : )

I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of summer camp for our girls and I get to spend the next week with them just having fun at the beach and doing nothing other than fun things, so get ready to be bored 1/2 to death with lots of pictures and maybe daily blogging of my fun crap : )

Here are some layouts I did for THE PAPER NICHE with some of the papers they carry, sorry that the pictures are not that good but I had to take pictures of my layouts at The Niche while cropping there on a Friday night with my Olympus water camera that I carry daily in my purse just in case I need to take that 1 picture if you know what I mean.

Yes ladies, I stickled the shiznit out of that plane :D :D :D and we all know how much I love me a cloud ; ) so I had to cut to out.

I don't know what is goinzzzz on with my computer but this is the 7'th..YES ladies, 7'th time I attempt to post this, every time I type something it freezes on me so I'm gonna stop while I am ahead. I am off to get all my scrapping goodies ready because tomorrow I will be cropping at The Niche with all those wonderful ladies that crop there religiously : )

Hello ladies, I have to admit that I miss blogging like I used too but I am so tired lately and have quit a good amount of crap on my plate and I do NOT like this feeling, maybe by next month things will be back to normal... now that I got THAT off my tiny chest I wanted to share a few layouts that I will be teaching at THE PAPER NICHE.

Like many of my buddies, I love me some OA papers and I just wanted to teach the ladies at THE NICHE that it's OK to use those papers on any picture, it does not have to be baby pictures and you can use pinks on boys with a little distressing and inking. Hope you like it. Sorry my post is bo-bo-bo-boooooring but nothing exciting goinz on around here....oh wait! I have a good one, our Angejolie walked up to me the before yesterday and asked "so you think I'm a bitch?" I was not sure I heard right so I asked her to repeat herself and sure enough she said it again but as if she were asking me "does my hair look good?" so I asked her nicely where she hear that and she said "the movie Stick It" it's a movie about gymnastics and somewhere in that movie one of the girls must have said it so I asked her to please never say that again because it is not a nice word that mean people use..... I swear having kids makes for a fun life.

So I was asked by the THE INCREDIBLY TALENTED SASHA to be part of her DT for POINT BLANK PERIOD which is a challenge blog she created and we all know that my was answer was "hell to the yeah" because anything and everything she does is off the chain and you should see the other uber duber talented ladies she got to join her on this venture. The hardest thing was cutting out the pages. You see...I have diagnosed myself with ADD, I swear, if it requires more than 1o minutes my mind wonders off or I start to lose the will to live so because of that it took me 2 weeks to cut that stupid center of the book but man oh man am I glad I stuck to it. Happy Blogaversary to me!
I can not believe that I started blogging 1 year ago today.
It all started because I wanted to do THIS CHALLENGE and it was the beginning of a wonderful journey. I have met so many talented ladies, ladies that never in a million years would our paths have crossed had it not been for this hobby, such as THIS SASSY CHICK, she was the second person to make a comment on my first post and has become my friend, who would have known, nor would I have ever tried out for the DT at The Paper Niche where I met THIS TALENTED LADY. who is teaching little by little how to work with this crazy blog and who puts together such beautiful kits or FUNKY BP. who thought my GESSO stuff was cool enough to get a spotlight on VP and so many others but none of this would have happened without MY GURU LA VERNE she always told me to think outside the box and told me NOT to be scared and start blogging.

The JULY KIT is up for sale at THE PAPER NICHE and this was the kit that kept on giving, I scrapped my happy little heart out like never before, check it out.

I decided to make a little Peruvian cook book for my 3 favorite dishes my mom used to cook for us as kids, and I still love those.

So THIS GIRL. had her second Wacky Wednesday Challenge and I must say it was pretty interesting because you have to follow the DO's and the DON T's which will make you think and it will make you create something you would probably never really have thought you could do, here is my take and let it be know it is not something that I would have thought of doing on my own : ) this is why I HEART challenges.

I chose to do a layout about my daily struggle, actually it no longer is my daily struggle because after much praying, crying and praying some more I woke up 1 day last month and it was as clear as daylight, I chose that we should stay where we live in order to keep our daughters in their private Montessori school, their way of teaching is like no other and we were not willing to sacrifice their education for a bigger house. even though we have outgrown this one.

I realy doubt that you have not heard of SASHA but if you haven't go check her out, you will NOT be dissapointed.

Now I have to once again post some pictures of our girls, how is it that they can go from this

July kit sneak peek

Hello ladies, can I just vent for 1 second and say that I have had the week from hell, Soli has had a fever of 102 for the past 3 days and at one point I thought she might have that flipping swine flu because she came in contact with someone who was diagnosed with it last Wednesday so that same day her pediatrician prescribed Tamiflu for both our girls and all was well until 3 days ago but today we were told that all she has is a virus (after they ran tests) and the reason she is vomiting is because of the Tamiflu and now on top of that medicine she is also on Amoxicillin and Cyphen and I NEVER EVER give our girls antibiotics but at this point I have no choice.

OOF!!!!!! Now that I got that off my chest, here are the sneaks from the JULY KIT AT THE PAPER NICHE. Boy oh boy did I enjoy working with this one... who a m I kidding!!!! I always have such a great time with their kits and not that I am kissing up or anything but LEAH always does such a fabulous job at putting those kits together. Look at what I signed up for again ART JOURNALING 102. with the oh so talented DINA WAKLEY. I took her last journaling class back in March??? and it was incredible. Here is my first journaling page, I so scraplifted this bad boy from her and I love it to pieces. I chose not to journal on the page because I want my husband to journal on it, look at how happy he was pushing Angejolie around. This picture was taken in December 2007 as we were leaving a Christmas lunch they have every year at the Barry University Campus, AJ was so hot that she opened up her dress :D :D :D

I can't wait to get better at this because it is so much fun and liberating, there is something about just slapping some paint on a page and not worrying about whether or not this matches or is this perfect? It's all about just telling my story of the moment. You should really go check her out if you haven't already.

And here a layout I did of Soli and Riley on Father's Day, those 2 together bring out the crazy in each other. We were all just hanging out by the pool when all of the sudden they put on these goggles and started posing for me and then they went ninja on my behind.

A little bit of this

A week ago or two THIS PLACE. had a post about altering your paper and I thought that I would try it out... and this is what I created

This was a portable sanitation truck and the sticker read CAUTION, this vehivle is full of political promises!

(see... boring little paper)

I used this old K&C paper that I have had since my Angejolie was born, cut it into a 6 X12 and used the other half to layer a little over the paper, I used my Tim Holtz stamp and 2 more stamps and when I was done stamping & inking I layered the entire paper with medium gel mat to give it some more umph!
I have to say that I silently stalk that blog because they constantly challenge you to try new things. So if you have not checked them out before, I strongly suggest you do.

Now this is a page that I did with my Angejolie last night, she did the painting with a paper towel and some gesso, I layered the papers (all scraps) for her and let her go wild with the little stones.

And this is a little message holder we did for my brother with some scraps. The cute little boy is my nephew. I figure if he wants to look at him on his desk he better make sure he answers his messages pronto!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Well ladies, that is all I have for today, summer kind of makes it hard for me to create and blog as often as I wish I could but a little is better than nothing.

And what a better way to start our day than with OCTOBER AFTERNOON. having such a yummy give away. Go check them out. My class was freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could NOT have asked for as greater group of ladies.
They loved my work, 1 was inspired to stamp for I believe the 1'st time, she also used Ranger paints and stepped out of her comfort zone and THAT is why I loved teaching this class, because they did something they would not usually do.
So YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

I am off to bed because I was so nervous all day that I am now beat.

Almost forgot to share..... I got a call from THE PAPER NICHE. telling me that the 3 ladies who had to reschedule my Saturday class because I never made it there want to take my class this Wednesday and they are bringing a 4'th friend. WOOT! WOOT! I was so happy to hear that they forgave me. I know to error is human but some people can not forgive that easily so I am so grateful that they managed to find it in their hearts to forgive silly old me! Now I am off to make them some little goodies as a thank you.

Today as I was outside with our girls I got a call from THE PAPER NICHE. where I am part of the DT and were I should have been at 1 pm to teach a class, yes I messed up royally, last time I called I was told no one had signed up for my class and with this being the first week of school for Soli and me going back to work my mind has every where and the sad part is that I was there on Friday to turn in this month's kit. I swear I wanted to crawl under a rock when I had them on the phone, the ladies could not wait for me to get there (understandably) and I would not blame them for not wanting to reschedule my class. This is SO not like me, if I say I will be there, I am there early and with bells on. I hope they give me another chance : (

This layout is of my Angejolie on her first day of Summer Camp with her cousin Hallie 3 years ago and yes, if you saw the layout I did yesterday of Solimar, they are wearing the same outfit. I saved it for her to wear it : ) call me cheesy but I think it is cute to see my baby wear the same outfit that her older sister wore once.

5 minute layout

Oh how I miss starting my mornings with paint, papers and embellishments but that's my life at least for now, it's going to take a few days to get used to waking up at 6 am to get the girls off to school and get to the office but I am confident that by next week I will have it all figured out : )
Here is a layout of Solimar's first day at summer camp yesterday with cousin Riley. I cut out the little boy, little girl and monster which took but a few minutes this morning and then slapped on the papers this afternoon. Can you tell it was a 5 minute page?

Being back at the office these past 2 days has been so nice, I got to have my coffee without interruption, some adult conversation and by 2:30 I am glad my work has ended and I am off to get my girls. Did I mention that I have the greatest boss in the world? Maybe that's why I have been there for 11 years... she loves my girls I took them to work with me from birth until they were ready for school and when ever I can not go in because they are sick or there is no school she does not give me a hard time about it. I am so blessed to have such a great boss who turned out to be a friend years later.

PREPARE FOR A PICTURE HEAVY POST!!!

3 years ago today I was dropping of our Angejolie at her Montessori school for her 1'st day at the tender age of 2 years 8 months, today we dropped of our Solimar at the sanw Montessori school for her 1'st day at the tender age of 2 years 6 months which she will go with eher sister and cousins until the 8'th grade.

Me doing the ugly cry because for the first time in years my car is empty, there was such a void in my heart...I know, I know, cut the cord right?

15 minutes later I took out the girls CD and put in my favorite Eve CD, I have not listened to it in years because there is a whole lata cursing ;D

This is what I found when I got to my office, hearts that Angejolie must have done for me last week when we stoped by to say hello to my co-workers, it put a huge smile on my face and I looked at it all day long, that is until 2:30 when it was time to go get our girls and go home. So I will now bw working from 9 to 2:30 5 days a week so that means I will not be scrapping as much as I have for the past 2 years : (

The first thing Soli said was "Mommy!!!!!!!! I had I great time, I cry for nap time for you, my Anjojie ruba my back to go to sleep" Gotta love the Montessori way of doing things.

We survived day one and I am sad that our little girls are growing up, but happy that they are getting a phenomenal education and that we are preparing them to be leaders. Toilet Paper is good for more than 1 thing...

Happy Hump Day ladies, hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your loved ones.
A few weeks ago the lovely BETH PERRY. sent out an email asking for stamping techniques, so I decided to make a little LOVE NOTES mini book for our daughters and of course Angejolie helped when it came time to spray the Glimmer Mist. I saw this idea as I was blog hopping once and I can not remember where I saw it so unfortunately I can not give credit to that person though I know that 1 day I will come accross it again and I will make sure I give her the props she deserves. So here it goes

So I did these out of toilet paper, yep! You read right, toilet paper my friends and you can also do some pretty embelishments with it, check it out.

Hambly Love

Lately I have been somewhat obsessed with doing 6 X 12 layouts, Hambly and American Crafts papers. It is so much easier to do a one picture layout that way. I've noticed that I have a box FULL of 1 picture that were never scrapped because there was not enough place in my page or just did not look right with the other pictures. Now I can scrap that 1 picture and tell my story and use all my paper scraps.

Tomorrow morning we are off to Lakeland to spend the weekend with my favorite cousin and her family, we are bringing my mom, my brother and nephew too so that means a weekend full of fun, scrapbooking, more fun and soar abs from laughing my @$$ off!

Challenge 34 at Scrapmojo

OK, so on Cinco De Mayo I posted this layout

and wished everyone a FELIZ CINCO DE MAYO and completely forgot to say that it was also for the challenge at SCRAPMOJO. You had to do a layout about a party, past present or future, since we are parents to a 5 and 2 year our party 'till the break of dawn days are over with but we did manage to go out 1 night with old friends to Tijuana Taxi and had a blast 'till maybe 1 am?
The back reads...my idea of the greatest party was the night that we went out with the Ballers and Trainors, we had adult conversations, laughed like we were teens and there were no children to interrupt the fun.

I know it sounds mean that I was happy the girls were not there to interrupt us every minute but in the ast 5 years I can count in 1 hand the amount of times we have gone out without our girls. So this was a fun night for us.

A couple of layouts

Not much to say today since I have been sick all weekend but wanted to share a few layouts.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls, look at how happy they are, who knew body painting could bring such joy?

This was done with the scraps I had left from my April Studio Calico kit.

Old paper found at the bottom of my tote, don't care much for the layout itself but it's ok, we don't always have to be super happy with eh end result : )

And last but not least, I have fallen in love with 6X12 layouts, I love how easy it is to scrap that 1 picture that was left behind to join the 500 other pictures in that famous box, that means I will scrapping a whole lotta 6X12 from now on.

Well ladies, I hope your weekend was much better than my weekend ;D but I am off with the family to either the beach or a park and for the first time ever I will be taking pictures without the automatic setting :O wish me luck.

Read at your own risk, picture heavy post!!!!!

This past Friday was my birthday and boy was it a great one, first off I decided to put some make up on and wear a dress, I'm usually in jeans and a shirt, not the greates picture but it is what it is : )

Then I went to my LSS THE PAPER NICHE. and when I walked in Bonita said that someone had left something for me, huh???? it was THIS FABULOUS CHICK. she had called the store and bought me a gift certificate, I almost got teary eyed, how sweet of her to remember my Bday, so needless to say I was ever happier.

That night my mom watched the girls and we got to hang out with these 2 wonderful ladies and their husbands.

We ate, had a couple of drinks, played Rock Band and all that without the kids, woot woot.

On Saturday we got to spend the entire day at Brenda's house scrapbooking and just hanging out, this time with no husbands or kids, just us ladies.

Yep ladies , today I am 1 year older and yet not that much wiser than I was 1 year ago LOL

How did that happen? Well...it all started with this page

I got an email from the lovely and talented BETH. asking me if I would be interested in showing the ladies at VINTAGE PLUM how to create a layout with Ghesso, Glimmer Mist and Oil Pastels. Can you believe that I almost fell off my bed when I read that? I mean... I love my pages but never think that people will like them that much (it must be the insecure middle child syndrome in me) so when I was done pinching myself I said "HELL YEAH!" Feliz Cinco de Mayo ladies!

Here is a layout I thought would be appropriate for the occasion.

This is a picture we took last month when my husband and I finally decided to cut the cord, had his parents watch the girls and went out to dinner with old time friends, MAN OH MAN did we have a great time at Tijuana Taxi. (BTW, I am one that loves to let my Princess scrap with me, so that heart was her idea and she cut out that triangle, you would be amazed at how just this little action makes her SO SO happy, so if you see that there is a triangle or a crazy looking drawing or something that would not normally be on a layout...that is my Princess' special touch)

I have not posted anything because my MOJO has left me, I have not seen that little sucker since last Tuesday and I am about to file a missing mojo report, should anyone see her please send her back to me because I miss her.

Studio Calico DT challenges

So the other day I got an email from STUDIO CALICO. that they are having some challenges in honor of NSD so this morning I did this layout

for THIS CHALLENGE. Emily was kind enough to respond to my question of wether or not I had to use their kits to enter the challenge, her answer was "you can most definitely us any papers" but it turns out that I had some left over papers from this months kit and 1 card stock left : )

for THIS CHALLENGE.

Each DT has a challenge and they each have a prize, I have to admit that those prizes are DELISH but I have come to realize that I no longer feel the need to do a layout for a prize, I am loving how everyday I am finding new ways to be creative and how I am getting all the important things on paper for our girls to look back on when they are grown. Don't get me wrong now................the prize is a bonus but no longer a need.

Hope you had a great weekend, we spent the day at the beach with old friends and had the best time ever and a killer tan. I will post pictures since my mother in laws mom is in town which means 1 thing....LOTS of Filipino delicious food, that right, lumpia, chicken adobo, well you get the point. Challenge 33

The ladies at SCRAP MOJO. have another killer challenge with one yummy prize, this time around you have to use anything Peter Pan that you love, as soon as I read that I knew exactly what I was going to do so I went looking for pictures of our Princess when we went on the Disney Cruise when she was 1. (can I tell you that I got teary eyed at looking at these pictures?) Here is what I did

The paper is by Prima as well as that beautiful flower which I got at THE PAPER NICHE. I used my Maya Road Bingo stamp and some K&Company stickers to make the frame. Check out her wings, I made them with some sort of ribbon, I colored the paper with some Glitter Mist & markers and then covered they sky with White Ghesso so that I could blend in the colors with Oil Pastel crayons. (I find that the colors blend so much better when you apply Ghesso first) Make sure you go check out SCRAP MOJO. because there is a lot of inspiration over there.

More Studio Calico goodies & BASB layout

When I got my kit this month I was like a kid on Christmas morning and after about 5 minutes I wanted to lose the will to live because those are so NOT my kind of colors. Than my Girl Tamrod made a comment that put the fire is my butt and my mojo was back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are 2 layouts.

The second one is a special on for me, this is the last picture that I have of my Dad, it was taken on 09/16/2006 just 3 months before he lost his battle with cancer and 'till today I wish I would have taken more pictures but on my defense my Dad kept the seriousness of his cancer from me because I was 6 months pregnant with Solimar.

Something old: Old picture that I have been sitting on since 09/2006
Something New: New technique, I used a sewing machine WOWZA!
Something burrowed: Once again I burrowed our 5 year olds heart stamp.
Something blue: I used blue paint around my cloud.

This one was inspired by my girl LA VERNE.'s challenge at BASB.
I have one more layout inspired by Laverne but I have to have my DH blur out some faces because they do not want their kids to be on the net (I aint mad)

La Verne's challenge

My girl LA VERNE. is hosting a challenge at BASB. the challenge is awesome and the drawing is even better. Here are my takes, I will submit one layout but I loved the idea of using something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Here are my 2 layouts and and extra one just for the hell of it ; ). All where done with my Studio Calico April kit.

Something old: old left over yellow cardstock from Lord knows when
Something new:drawing/doodling (I do NOT draw or doodle, so that 's as good as it gets for the hearts)
Something burrowed:(my daughter's ribbon)
Something blue:I sprayed blue Glimmer Mist

Something old:old Hambly transparency
Something new:new Studio Calico paper
Something burrowed:I used my daughter's bird stamp
Something blue:I inked my letters blue

And this is the third one I did with my April Studio Calico April kit.
It is of of our Angejolie's first day back to scholl last year.

April kit at The Niche

The April kits go on sale this weekend at THE PAPER NICHE.

Here I included my dear friend's wedding invitation, people spend so much money getting them done and I could not bring myself to throw it awa so I thought it would be nice to have it on a layout that they can share with their kids one day.

This page of the kids at the beach was done with all the scraps I had left and I went crazy with the Glimer Mist : )

This page was a little challenging because there was a whole lot of exacto knifing but the end result made it all worth it!

Anyone that knows me knows that my new thing is to do at least 1 frame per month, you know... of that 1 picture that you love but can not do a layout with because the background was wak! I figured I will have 1 wall filled with little frames of those special little negleted pictures. In the back of the frame I wrote a note to our girls telling them that Prince Charming does exist...it might take years and many frogs but not to settle for less than they deserve because HE will come one day as did mine.

I am not sure if they have posted their layouts yet but go check out LEAH'S BLOG. (she is the one that put this wonderful kit together and as always RAWKED to heck out of it) and MELISA'S BLOG. because they are some talented ladies. A mini album & a page?

Hello there, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your loved one.
Let me warn you that this post has 1 picture too many :D
My mom asked me to make an album for her co-worker, let it be know that I am NOT good at making albums, I don't know if it's the ADD in me or maybe that I am so used to doing BUSY pages but mini albums are not my thing.

The album, papers and stickers are by Little Yellow Bicycle that i got at THE PAPER NICHE.

and with the scraps I did this (can it be called a layout?)

I used white gesso to cover the page, while it was still wet I did the 2 cloud shapes and sprayed Glimmer Mist all over the place and then used pastel crayons. Turned out ok I think :)

Now for the gazzillion pictures, I noticed while read in blogs that everyone is dressed so nice while dying their eggs and then there is US in bathing suits, I guess that's how we roll in Miami :)

And can I tell you how much fun the kids had this year, our girls are blessed to have 7 cousins, one is 6, four are 5 and three more are 2 years old, so our egg hunts are super fun to watch.

And this is how we ended our wonderful day

Challenge 32 and Spring break!

Challenge #32 at SCRAP MOJO. is a cool one, it's about having had or wishing you had an imaginary friend. I never had an imaginary friend but I had friends in my teens who were always game to do anything... as a matter of fact we just got together this week with our kids at the same beach we used to hang out when we were youngins :D :D :D I had a real good time scrapping a layout for this challenge.

Go check them out, you will like the challenge and the prize is off the chain, I need to figure out who makes those papers because I SO WANT THEM!!!!!!

Talking about spring break, here are some pictures I took of our girls, gosh! I love living in S. Florida, I do not know what I would do without the beautiful ocean minutes away from our house. Angejolie had had just about enough of me pointing the camera at her and Solimar...well, can you tell she was loving every minute of it?

I purchased the class to make this journal from scratch HERE. and I could not have started it at a better time. March has been such a wonderful month and filled with special things. Donna Downey named her book "Journey of Me" I named my book "Our Journey" because my journey is my family. Everyone should make one of these books, it is so much more fun to journal in it than on a regular journal (at least for me) because I can add extra things as if I were scrapbooking. Hope you like it. (BTW, I am not journaling in order, it depends on how much I am going to write and if I am going to use pictures, but I will keep the months in order.)

Sorry for the amount of pictures, I just wanted to share what I have done so far because I thought it looks great so far.

American Crafts has this cool challenge going on, all you have to do is a layout using 3 different kinds of Thickers. So I decided to do a beach layout of my pal M and her family at the beach. All the papers are scraps that I had left over by American Crafts and the Thickers I used were

Insomnia

Hello there, I have come to the conclusion that I have insomnia.
Nope I am not a doctor but the simple fact that I can not fall asleep until 2 or 3 am everyday leads me to believe that I have insomnia. Bump going to the doctor's because he will try to convince me to take some pills which I am not found of, I think the are addictive and somewhere down the line are no longer effective and then they will prescribe stronger junk. So my remedy is to scrap it out until I am so tired or blog :D If anyone knows of something that could help please share it with me because this sucks!!!!!!!

So here are two layouts that I did the other morning while Soli was still sleeping, the papers came from...of course, my little piece of heaven THE PAPER NICHE., they always have the yummiest papers and embellies and the ladies there are so kind.

My favorite papers in the world, I have hearted Sassafras since the first day I discovered them back in April. This layout is about my girls, AJ gets me flowers every week because "it make you happy Mama" To be honest with you, I have always told my husband not to buy me flowers because they die and I rather spend that money on scrapbooking goodies so how ironic is it that my Princess finds such joy in getting me flowers because she thinks it makes me happy. Well it does make me happy, I get this huge smile on my face every time because I think it is so sweet that no matter what she is doing, she stops for a second to think about me and what would make me happy. I swear that motherhood is the GREATEST gift ever.

Hello ladies, hope you are all having a wonderful week so far.
Can I just share with you that I started doing P90X. I read about it on SASHA'S BLOG.
A lot of people are wondering why I am doing it since I am a size 0 or 2, all I want is to be firm and since I live in S. Florida and love love love the beach I have to get ready for the beach :) Well! Let me tell you that my body is burning in places I never knew existed. And every time I am close to losing the will to live I say "do it for the red bikini" 4 days in and I am loving to hate that P90X and crossing my fingers that my husband jumps on board so that way he will not have to wake up at 4 am every day to go to the gym.

So here are some journal pages I have done and 1 that my Angejolie did, and believe me when I tell you that she did it all on her own with Mommy by her side.

And this is the one Angejolie did

She decided to add a face to her image, how cute is she?
She was so proud of her journal page but most of all she was happy to have spent that hour with just me, our 2 year old Sol was sleeping. I am so proud of her every day because she is such an intelligent, kind, loving little girl and to be able to share this passion with her is a bonus.

What a surprise

A few weeks ago the THE LOVELY SHARON. sent me an email asking me if I wanted her to help me make my blog pretty because she remembered that a few months ago I tried and accidentally erased everything. An of course I accepted. Imagine my surprise when I came to my blog and saw the great job she did. This is what I am talking about when I say I have been blessed with meeting a few wonderful ladies via the blog world, Ladies I would have probably never met. Sharon, I can not thank you enough for your kindness, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

So on Friday hubs and I went out to dinner with 2 couples we have been friends with since the good old school days. (it's amazing how hubs and I knew the same peeps since school yet our paths never crossed until November 1997) Let me not bore you with all my weekend detail, all I will say is that we had a wonderful weekend with friends, family and our girls.

This is what I had the pleasure of seeing Thursday night

Yep, our beautiful Angejolie, every time she sees a camera she strikes a pose and then we had our crazy (in a good way) and beautiful Solimar that likes to run around the house with this cat mask screaming AAAAARGH!!!!! while thinking she is scaring us :D and she has learned to strike a pose like her sister.

And last but not least is a layout that I did for my pal M. with her daughter.
I got these yummy papers at my little piece of heaven THE PAPER NICHE.

I left the strips blank so that she can journal a nice little something.
I used my H Swapp precious stamp with some paint and then got exacto knife crazy but boy do I love how it came out.
I bought that paper to do something pretty for my girls and then I came accross that picture and it was perfect so I thought it would be nice to surprise her with it since she does not scrap. Maybe this will get her started LOL.

I married my soulmate!
Some say we eloped I say we did not.
I met my husband in November of 1997 and 4 months later on Friday March 13'th we
decided that it was the perfect day to get married. We went to the court house and did it!
Some gave us weeks other were more generous and gave us 2 or 3 years and the polite ones
kept their mouths shut. Well!!!!!!!!!!!! 11 years later and 2 beautiful Angels, we are still in love
and going strong, guess we proved the haters wrong LOL. Don't get me wrong, once in a while I could choke him and I'm pretty sure he has thought that too but what couple does not get on one another's nerve once in a while.
Sorry I have no pictures to post about our crazy out of the blues wedding but I do not know how to scan but I will get hubs to scan one for me. So today I did this layout of our beautiful Angejolie, she is our creation and never in a million years did I ever imagine that my life would be as great as it is. Sure I might not own my dream home nor do I drive a fancy car but I am RICH in love. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful little girls who bring me flowers every Sunday and give me the best hugs.

So I came across THIS CHICK'S. blog (she's pretty cool and real) as I was reading THE LOVELY SHARON'S. blog and she challenged her readers to do a layout with green in it. So I decided to do it and here is my take.

OK so I just decided I need to do one of our other little Angel so I flipped the paper and VOILA!
For those of you who do not know me that well, I am crazy like that...I have to start my mornings and end my nights playing with papers and paints and what nots! (8:19 am)

I have to say that my way of scrapping keeps changing and I am loving it!
And do you know who I have to thank for that?
MY GURU LA VERNE. From day 1, she told me to think outside the box and get out of my comfort zone and I have never looked back. Thank you La Verne! You are the BEST!!!!!!!!!

Well ladies that is all for now, I do have one question...What do you consider eloping to be.

Challenge 31

So tonight I was feeling quite creative and decided I was going to do the challenge at SCRAPMOJO. For this challenge you had to tell what you would do if you ruled the world. I decided that for the first time I was not going to use a picture (thanks for the little push of trying to do a page without a picture Sasha) So here is my take. Oh yeah! After I was all done I realized I did not use stars as required so I sprayed 2 star shapes on the kids chests.

I have been having such a good time playing with paints, sprays and what not since I started taking the Journaling 102 class that I thought it would be nice to do a challenge using the techniques that I have learned so far but I had to use some paper, I girl can not go from using 100% scrapbooking supplies to 0%.

My scrappy friends

My scrappy friends bring me the most joy.
Yesterday my girl Tammie came over at 9 pm, the kids were sleeping and the house was quiet...that is until she came in. This girl can make me laugh from was deep in my gut.
So all we did from 9 pm to 4:30 am was laugh (loud as all hell) talk, and I managed to do 3 layouts. Yep! Only 3 but man did we have fun, I think she also did 3 or maybe 4. OH! We also bought tickets to go see No Doubt. So all in all it was a great night. Here are my layouts.

I got these yummy Sassafras Las papers at this little place I call heaven THE PAPER NICHE. They got so much new YUMMY stuff but I have not been able to go there without Solimar, it is a nightmare to go there with her because she wants to run around and touch things. This weekend though I am so hitting that store.

I have had this paper for well over a year if not more so last night I decided I was going to use it and I kinda like the end product.

We took this picture yesterday at Greynold's Park in North Miami Beach, FL I always forget how beautiful that park is until we get there. The girls had such a blast ridding their bikes. Oh yeah! before I forget to give props... I got the inspiration for this page from THIS CHICK. She is one of my FAVE scrappers (Sasha, this is not the layout I SO scraplifted, I still have to post about it) she is honest, funny and oh so talented.

Oh how I love YOU Sassafras

Las week I stopped by my little piece of heaven that goes by the name of THE PAPER NICHE. and picked up the new Sassafras Las papers. Anyone who knows my know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE their papers and it is all because of LA VERNE'S. fault :D She got me to buy a studio Calico kit and that was the day that i fell in LOVE with the crazy little deer.

This is a layout of the first time both the girls napped at the same time, any mom would give her right pinkie to have her kids sleep or nap at the same time in order to get that much needed break and can I tell you that I was in heaven? I sat in my car for an hour and read a scrapbooking mag. Don;t get me wrong, I LOVE our girls but it is nice to have that hour of pure silence.
