Best Buy said it will take at least 4 weeks for me to get it back. Can you believe it?

My girlfriend asked me if came all done.
It did not, Stephanie Howell has set up a blog so that we can see how to put it together and may I say that I am LOOOOOVING it so far. I tend to stay away from shiny goodies and girly pages because I have no clue as to what the heck to do with them but I have a feeling that once I am done with this book it is going to be SO on with the shiny goodies.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Not only do we need to deal with Hurricane Ike but
my beloved lap top has died. I just got her 16 months ago and she is DEAD!
I keep looking to the right side of my bed where she sits every night waiting for me to blog and stalk blogs once the girls are sleeping and she is not there.
I have to take her in tomorrow to see what they can do.
If they give me some crazy @$$ amount I will bat my eye lashes and see if my husband agrees to replace her with an Apple lap top.
As for now, I am stuck using the family computer that is NOT by my bed and it sucks!!!!!!!
I know! Enough with the whining there is a bad @$$ hurricane on it's way and a stupid lap top should be the least of my worries. Have a great night and stay safe.

Look at what I got in the mail today (finally)



It's the PURE JOY book by Stephanie Howell.
She taught this class in Texas and since I live in S. FLA I had to get is shipped.
Now, I am doing 1-2 pages at a time since instead of doing it by written instruction she thought it would be better to post it on her blog daily. She is just PHENOMENAL!!!!!!
Did I mention that she included a lollipop in the kit? Yep! She did.
And guess who enjoyed it? Not me but cheese face Solimar.







On to other things, here is what my hair looks like now

As for Soli Sol, she refuses to let me do her hair and that is why she looks like a wild child. I know what battle to pick and the hair battle is NOT one.

I did it

I had my cousin cut off 11 inches of my hair.

It seems to me that every time we get together we channel the inner child in us.
This past Christmas she dared me to jump in the pool at midnight while it was 50 degrees outside and YES the child in me could not punk out so I did it and almost died because the freaking pool was NOT heated.

So today I had just about had it with my hair and asked my cousin to cut it and she did, no questions asked. The hair is not being thrown away, I am donating it to http://www.beautifullengths.com/en_US/index_home.jsp
It takes 6 donations to make 1 wig so to any of you ladies that have beautiful long hair, think about it. It would make a person very happy. Here is a video of the cut. I have to warn you, it is very GHETTO FAB! We did it in her kitchen with regular scissors.

Now picture this, I have a mini van, I know! I know! Nothing SEXY about a mini van but it is SO practical back to the picture... hubby is driving, my brother is next to him, mom and Angejolie in the second row and my nephew D. and Solimar are on the side on the third row in their Roundabout Britax and that leaves little old me in the middle. Can we say there is a certain mommy who will need a grown up drink the moment she gets to Lakeland? Thank God for lap tops and wireless internet, it will at least keep me entertained and yes I can shut out any annoying kid noise that comes my way ;D

I have to say that I LOVE their sketches and I kid you not when I tell you that I did this layout in 1/2 an hour tops.

The kids are sleeping (8:23pm)
The 1 weeks worth of laundry is finish, all the packing is done for our little trip tomorrow
and I even managed to do a layout. Did I mention that my hubby is working late? I had to do this SOLO so dang it I am beat!!!!

Well I saw this sketch on the Prima site and loved it. Now I know I am no Prima Girl but I am pretty pleased with the layout. I think I will now call myself Ghetto Fab Prima Girl. Whatcha think? Anyhow here is the layout I did of our beautiful Solimar. It's simple but just right.
